Veterinary Officer

• Responsible for animal receipt and maintenance during quarantine.

• Responsible for clinical observation of animals.

• Recording of pressure, temperature, humidity and routine activities of the animal facility.

• Responsible for animal breeding and management and related records.

• Responsible for the selection, packing and transportation of animals.

• To be involved in receiving and resolution of customer complaints.

• Responsible for issuance of animals for studies along with required documentation.

• Responsible for sample collection from animals for health monitoring.

• Responsible for sample collection for genetic monitoring of animals.

• Supervision of anaesthesia and euthanasia of animals.

• Responsible for the preparation of disinfectants.

• Assisting in the maintenance and calibration of instruments used in breeding.

• Preparation and review of SOP’s.

• Provide training to personnel.

• Supervision of animal care personnel for routine activity in the animal room.
