ï‚§ First level troubleshooting of the Standard OS (.: Solaris, Linux, Ubuntu )
ï‚§ Web / App server troubleshooting Java System Application Servers (Tomcat, Weblogic), SunOne and Apache
ï‚§ Grow, Shrink File systems using SVM and VxVM
ï‚§ SSL Certificate Renewal
ï‚§ Installation of standard OS on servers
ï‚§ ADF (Application Deployment Framework) Zone troubleshooting
ï‚§ Third party product installation
ï‚§ Changes which require super user or Administrator Privileges
ï‚§ User Account or Access Management
ï‚§ Housekeeping of User or System Environment (Ex: Cleaning up /tmp area, Reducing the size of a user's home area by deleting files etc)
ï‚§ Coordinate fix of H/W issues with vendors on servers following Hardware management processes and procedures
ï‚§ Work with OS vendors such as Oracle / RedHat and Symantec to provide necessary logs / information on issues raised by L3 UNIX Team
ï‚§ Update & Maintain Pertinent Operational Documentation ( required for their operations )
 External Collaboration (Linux Skillset) – Ubuntu / Suse sysadmins responsible for supporting apps running Apache, Nginx, FTP, Squid proxy, and other open source Linux tools.
