Unix System Administrator L2

 Provide Voice and Remote terminal support for customer Issues and work on L2 support tickets

 First level troubleshooting of the Standard OS (.: Solaris, Linux, Ubuntu )

 Web / App server troubleshooting Java System Application Servers (Tomcat, Weblogic), SunOne and Apache

 Grow, Shrink File systems using SVM and VxVM

 SSL Certificate Renewal

 Installation of standard OS on servers

 ADF (Application Deployment Framework) Zone troubleshooting

 Third party product installation

 Changes which require super user or Administrator Privileges

 User Account or Access Management

 Housekeeping of User or System Environment (Ex: Cleaning up /tmp area, Reducing the size of a user's home area by deleting files etc)

 Coordinate fix of H/W issues with vendors on servers following Hardware management processes and procedures

 Work with OS vendors such as Oracle / RedHat and Symantec to provide necessary logs / information on issues raised by L3 UNIX Team

 Update & Maintain Pertinent Operational Documentation ( required for their operations )

 External Collaboration (Linux Skillset) – Ubuntu / Suse sysadmins responsible for supporting apps running Apache, Nginx, FTP, Squid proxy, and other open source Linux tools.
