Testing Engineer

key responsibilities:

test planning and strategy:

understand business requirements and translate them into test plans and scenarios.

define testing scope, objectives, and metrics.

functional testing:

perform end-to-end functional testing to ensure the application meets functional specifications.

execute regression, smoke, and exploratory testing.

identify, log, and track bugs to resolution.

automation testing:

develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using tools like selenium, testng, junit, cypress, or similar frameworks.

ensure the reusability and scalability of automation frameworks.

conduct performance and api testing using tools like jmeter, postman, or rest assured.

integration and collaboration:

work closely with the development team to ensure quick resolution of issues.

participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives in an agile/scrum environment.

collaborate with devops for ci/cd pipeline integration of automated test suites.

documentation and reporting:

prepare detailed test reports, dashboards, and metrics for stakeholders.

maintain comprehensive documentation of test cases and scripts.

key skills and qualifications:

bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.

proficiency in manual testing methodologies and tools (., jira, testrail).

strong hands-on experience with automation tools (., selenium, cypress).

knowledge of programming languages (., java, python, javascript) for script development.

familiarity with agile methodologies and ci/cd pipelines.

experience in api testing (postman, rest assured) and performance testing (jmeter, loadrunner).

excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
