A Teacher Assistant (TA) supports lead teachers by helping with classroom management, lesson prep, and providing individualized student support, including working with small groups or special needs students, supervising during non-classroom times, grading, keeping records, communicating with parents, and ensuring a safe, engaging learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
Classroom Support: Prepare materials, set up equipment, clean/organize the classroom, and help maintain a safe and positive atmosphere.
Student Instruction: Work with individual students or small groups for remedial help, reinforce learning, and adapt lessons to different learning styles.
Student Supervision: Oversee students during recess, lunch, field trips, and other school activities.
Teacher Collaboration: Assist lead teachers with lesson planning, monitoring student progress, and discussing development.
Administrative Tasks: Help with record-keeping, grading, attendance, and preparing reports.
