The Systems Engineer – Thermal Simulation will be responsible for developing and optimizing simulation models for electric motor systems, with a focus on thermal, dynamic, and mechanical behavior. This role supports the advancement of electric mobility by ensuring high-performance, efficient, and durable electric drive systems through rigorous simulation and analysis.
Responsibilities:
Create, validate, and optimize simulation models for electric motors used in e-mobility applications.
Analyze thermal, dynamic, and mechanical behavior to support competitive product design.
Document, report, and present simulation results to internal and external stakeholders.
Enhance simulation toolchains and standardize methods to improve development quality and efficiency.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to align simulation outcomes with product requirements.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
Minimum 8 years of experience in electric motor simulation, design, and thermal analysis.
Strong understanding of electric drive systems including battery, power electronics, traction motor, and gearbox.
Proficiency in simulation tools such as MotorCAD, MATLAB/Simulink (including Simscape), and Ansys suite (Maxwell, Multiphysics, OptiSLang).
Programming skills in Python are advantageous.
Ability to understand complex systems and apply physical principles systematically.
Effective communication with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Structured, analytical, and precise working style with a strong sense of ownership.
Fluency in English.
