position summary

we are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and detail-oriented gnm-qualified staff nurse to join our dedicated ivf team. the ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care and emotional support to patients throughout their fertility journey, from initial consultation to post-procedure recovery. this role requires clinical expertise, empathy, and excellent coordination skills within a multidisciplinary team.

key responsibilities

patient care and monitoring: conduct initial patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and track patient conditions throughout the treatment cycle.

clinical assistance: assist doctors during consultations, gynecological examinations, follicular scans, and procedures such as iui (intrauterine insemination), egg retrieval (opu), and embryo transfers (et).

medication management: administer ivf-related injections (., fsh, hcg, progesterone) as prescribed and educate patients on medication protocols, dosage, timing, and potential side effects.

patient education and counseling: educate patients about treatment plans, procedures, and self-care practices, providing emotional support and a clear understanding of what to expect during a challenging time.

documentation and records: maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records, ensuring all clinical notes, consent forms, and regulatory documentation (., pcpndt forms) are completed and filed correctly.

ot and lab support: prepare procedure and operation rooms, ensure the availability and sterilization of equipment and instruments, and follow strict infection control protocols as per nabh standards.

coordination and communication: serve as a liaison between patients, doctors, embryologists, and other staff to ensure seamless communication and continuity of care.

inventory management: monitor and maintain stock of medications, injections, and consumables, ensuring proper cold chain management for temperature-sensitive drugs.

qualifications and skills

education: diploma in general nursing and midwifery (gnm) is mandatory.

experience: prior experience in an ivf center, ot, or gynecology setting is preferred.

knowledge: sound knowledge of basic nursing procedures, infection control practices, and the ivf treatment cycle/protocols is a plus.
