Discussion and finalization of documents with counterparty legal departments. Identify key risks and recommend agreements to MD / business for signature
Manage the company secretary function in line with the companies act
Maintain all legal agreements in a data repository
Identify legal risks and highlight to management
Education: LLB from a quality institution (National Law College or similar)
& preferably a Qualified Company Secretary
Experience: 3 to 5 years with a medium to large size corporate or law form
Skills & Knowledge:
Primary skills:
Legal drafting, understanding of key legal risks
Knowledge of different types of standard legal documents
Communication & negotiation skills to discuss and reach a compromise with counterparties
Experience in managing secretarial function. Board, Shareholder meetings, Capital infusion, Returns and documentation.
