Sports Teacher Job Description

We are looking for an experienced sports teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, implementing, and assessing a curriculum that meets the educational and recreational needs of school age students.

Responsibilities:

- Develop fun and engaging lesson plans for physical education, outdoor sports, and indoor sports.

- Teach students the fundamentals of various sports and games.

- Foster an environment of sportsmanship and camaraderie in the gymnasium and on the fields/courts.

- Regularly assess student progress and give feedback/assistance as appropriate.

- Each physical education class, ensure the safety of students by setting realistic expectations and providing supervision.

- Provide resources to students for researching and exploring sports and recreation.

- Serve as a positive role model and mentor to students and exercise strong leadership skills.

Requirements:

- Bachelors Degree in Physical Education or related field.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a sports teacher in a school setting.

- Knowledge of current school physical education standards.

- Thorough knowledge of outdoor and indoor sports.

- Ability to communicate effectively with students, faculty, and parents.

- Strong
