- Assist in the general maintenance and repair of equipment on the drilling rig: This includes tasks such as painting, cleaning, and greasing machinery to ensure they are in proper working order.

- Perform manual labor tasks as directed by the crew: Roustabouts are expected to lift heavy equipment, carry materials, and perform other physical tasks as needed to support drilling operations.

- Assist in the set-up and dismantling of drilling rigs: This involves helping to assemble and disassemble the various components of the rig, including pipes, derricks, and other equipment.

- Maintain a clean and organized work environment: Roustabouts are responsible for keeping work areas tidy and free of debris to promote safety and efficiency on the rig.
