- Monitor patient progress: Regularly assess and monitor patients' respiratory status, including lung function, oxygen levels, and breathing patterns. Make adjustments to treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients: Provide patients and their families with information and training on respiratory conditions, treatments, and self-care techniques to promote better health management and prevent complications.
- Collaborate with healthcare team: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive respiratory care plans tailored to each patient's needs and medical history.
- Maintain accurate records: Keep detailed and up-to-date records of patient assessments, treatment plans, and outcomes to ensure continuity of care and facilitate communication with other healthcare providers.
Required skills and expectations:
- Diploma in respiratory therapy or related field.
- Valid license or certification as a Respiratory Therapist.
