Raw Rice Sortex / Processing Operator

Department: Production

Reports To: Rice Plant Manager

Job Purpose

To operate and monitor the raw rice processing line, ensuring quality, productivity, and minimum wastage.

Key Responsibilities

Operate Sortex, Cleaner, Destoner, Polisher, Grader, and related equipment.

Monitor machine parameters throughout production.

Check raw material quality before processing.

Minimize broken rice and processing losses.

Perform machine cleaning and basic maintenance.

Record hourly production and rejection data.

Follow GMP, HACCP, and Food Safety standards.

Coordinate with maintenance during machine breakdowns.

Maintain housekeeping (5S) in the processing area.

Qualification

ITI/Diploma/12th Pass

Experience

3-5 years in rice milling or food processing.
