JOB TITLE: RADIOLOGIST
JOB PURPOSE:
To provide optimum quality, effective and efficient Radiology services within the resources available to the hospital.
JOB ROLE:
To share in the collective responsibility for the provision of imaging services for patients within the Radiology Department. To provide leadership within their own specialty team.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:
Prime responsibility is for patient care, best diagnosis and team leadership.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
General Reporting General Screening Ultrasound Computerized Tomography (CT) & USG
TIMING AS PER HOSPITAL: hrs Shift Duty
THE POST
This post is for a Consultant radiologist. This is a fully funded new post for the development of Radiologist Department.
The Consultant will participate in the routine work of the department CT, Ultrasound and Plain Film Reporting.
The Consultant will work for hrs all together in both hospitals and will be call after hrs if any emergency comes will be paid extra on actuals.
The Consultants will promote and develop multidisciplinary teamwork within the specialty and will communicate effectively with all agencies and personnel involved in providing Radiology services.
The Consultants will work together with his/her Radiology colleagues in the further development of Radiology services in the area.
The Consultants will continue to develop protocols for the establishment and monitoring of standards of care and reviewing effectiveness of practice in the light of available evidence and recommended guidelines.
The post-holder, as a member of the Radiology consultant team, will assist with the development and implementation of systems under clinical and social care governance that ensure the quality of the radiology service offered by the Hospital.
The Radiology consultant team participates in audit activities and applies the results to improve the service. And needs to maintain records which all are required for Audit purpose.
The post-holder will participate in teaching, appraisal and development of radiographic and nursing staff
Provide advice to the hospital on all aspects of the Radiology service.
