Review imaging requests and verify patient identity before procedures.

Explain imaging procedures and obtain appropriate consent.

Prepare and position patients correctly for diagnostic examinations.

Operate X-ray and other authorised imaging equipment.

Select appropriate exposure factors and imaging protocols.

Produce high-quality diagnostic images while minimising repeat examinations.

Apply radiation-protection principles to patients, staff and the public.

Use shielding and maintain radiation exposure within safe limits.

Assess image quality and submit images to the radiologist for interpretation.

Assist with contrast-media procedures under authorised clinical supervision.

Monitor patients for adverse reactions and follow emergency protocols.

Maintain accurate patient, examination and exposure records.

Transfer, label and archive images using RIS and PACS systems.

Perform routine quality-control checks on imaging equipment.

Report equipment defects and arrange maintenance when required.

Follow infection-control and equipment-cleaning procedures.

Assist patients with limited mobility and provide compassionate care.

Coordinate with radiologists, nurses, doctors and other healthcare professionals.

Maintain patient privacy, dignity and confidentiality.

Participate in rotational shifts, on-call services and emergency imaging duties.
