Overview : A Radiographer, also known as a radiologic technologist, uses medical imaging equipment to create diagnostic images of the body, aiding in the diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions. They work under the direction of physicians and are responsible for preparing patients, operating equipment, ensuring patient safety, and interpreting images. Radiographers may specialize in areas like CT scans, MRI, or mammography.

Key Responsibilities:

Operating Imaging Equipment:

Radiographers operate various imaging equipment, including X-ray machines, CT scanners, MRI scanners, and ultrasound machines, to capture images of the body's internal structures.

Patient Preparation and Positioning:

They prepare patients for imaging procedures, explaining the process, answering questions, and ensuring patient comfort and safety. They also position patients correctly for the imaging procedure.

Image Acquisition and Quality Control:

Radiographers acquire high-quality diagnostic images, adjusting equipment settings to optimize image quality. They also perform quality control checks on equipment to ensure it is functioning properly.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATION: MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS DIPLOMA

EXPERIENCE: FRESHERS/ EXPERIENCE
