The Head of Purchases for the Mining Business is responsible for overseeing the procurement function, ensuring cost-effective, timely, and efficient sourcing of materials, equipment, and services critical to the mining operations. This role involves developing strategic procurement plans, negotiating with suppliers, managing vendor relationships, and optimising inventory to support uninterrupted mining and plant activities. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in supply chain management within the mining or heavy industry, demonstrating strong negotiation skills, market insight, and a commitment to operational efficiency .

Educational Background ------------- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management,Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant professional certification (., CPSM, CIPS) is a plus .

Experience ------------7-10 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, ideally within the mining or industrial sector.
