Role Overview
We are looking for a patient, creative, and energetic Pre-school Teacher to join our team. You will be responsible for fostering a positive learning environment where children (typically ages 35) can develop social, physical, and cognitive skills. Your goal is to prepare children for their transition to primary school by making learning an adventure.
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Development: Design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that cover literacy, numeracy, arts and crafts, and physical education.
Classroom Management: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and minimizes hazards.
Child Observation: Track and document each childs progress, identifying milestones or potential developmental delays to share with parents and specialists.
Engagement & Play: Lead activities that stimulate curiosity, such as storytelling, singing, outdoor play, and sensory games.
Social Development: Teach essential social skills, including sharing, empathy, conflict resolution, and basic hygiene (., handwashing).
Parent Communication: Maintain regular contact with parents through reports, meetings, and digital platforms to discuss their childs growth and well-being.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE), Child Development, or a related field.
Certification: Valid state-mandated teaching certification or a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential.
Experience: Proven experience working in a licensed childcare facility or preschool setting.
Soft Skills: Exceptional patience, strong communication skills, and the ability to adapt to the unpredictable nature of working with young children.
Physical Stamina: Ability to keep up with active children, including bending, lifting up to 30 lbs, and being on your feet for extended periods.
