Job Title: Pick-up and Delivery Associate

About the Role:
Quick India Logistics is seeking a reliable and hardworking Pick-up and Delivery Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and timely pick-up and delivery of goods to customers within designated areas. You will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining a positive brand image.
Key Responsibilities:
Pickup Staff Responsibilities:
• Order Coordination:
o Confirm pickup details and schedules with the client and the dispatch team.
o Ensure that all necessary documentation (., waybills, invoices) is accurate and complete before leaving for the pickup location.
• Vehicle Preparation:
o Inspect the vehicle to ensure it is clean, well-maintained, and suitable for the goods to be picked up.
o Check that all required tools and equipment are available and in good condition.
• Loading Goods:
o Safely and efficiently load goods onto the vehicle, ensuring they are properly secured to prevent damage during transit.
o Verify the condition and quantity of goods being picked up, noting any discrepancies or damages.
• Unloading Goods:
o Safely unload goods at the delivery destination using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
o Verify the condition and quantity of goods upon delivery, noting any discrepancies or damages.
• Documentation:
o Complete and verify all pickup documentation, including obtaining signatures from the client.
o Ensure all paperwork is properly filed and returned to the dispatch office or relevant department.
Delivery Staff Responsibilities:
• Route Planning:
o Plan the most efficient route to the delivery destination, considering traffic, road conditions, and delivery time windows.
o Use GPS and other navigation tools to monitor and adjust the route as needed.
• Transporting Goods:
o Drive safely and adhere to all traffic laws and regulations.
o Monitor the condition of the goods during transit to ensure they are not damaged.
• Loading Goods:
o Safely and efficiently load goods onto the vehicle, ensuring they are properly secured to prevent damage during transit.
o Verify the condition and quantity of goods being picked up, noting any discrepancies or damages.
• Unloading Goods:
o Safely unload goods at the delivery destination using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
o Verify the condition and quantity of goods upon delivery, noting any discrepancies or damages.
• Customer Interaction:
o Communicate with the recipient to confirm delivery details and address any concerns or questions.
o Provide excellent customer service, ensuring the recipient is satisfied with the delivery process.
• Documentation and Reporting:
o Complete delivery documentation, including obtaining signatures from the recipient.
o Report any issues or incidents that occurred during transit to the transport company’s management.
Additional Responsibilities for Both Pickup and Delivery Staff:
• Vehicle Maintenance:
o Regularly inspect and maintain the delivery vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
o Report any vehicle issues to the company’s maintenance department.
• Compliance:
o Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and legal requirements related to the transport of goods.
o Stay updated with industry standards and best practices for transport and logistics.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Customer Service Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with clients and recipients, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
• Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in documentation and careful handling of goods to prevent damage.
