In-House Collection Duties
Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection on patients of all age groups
Verify patient identity and test requisitions prior to sample collection
Accurately label and document specimens according to established protocols
Maintain strict hygiene, sterilization, and infection control standards
Monitor patients for any adverse reactions during or after collection
Coordinate with laboratory staff, nurses, and physicians
Ensure proper handling, storage, and timely transfer of samples
Dispose of biomedical waste as per regulatory guidelines
B. Home Visit (Field Collection) Duties
Travel to patient locations for sample collection services
Carry and maintain a complete portable phlebotomy kit
Verify patient details and test requirements before collection
Perform safe and hygienic blood collection in home settings
Ensure accurate labeling and on-site documentation
Maintain cold chain and sample integrity during transportation
Deliver samples to the laboratory within specified timelines
Educate patients on pre-test requirements (., fasting)
Use mobile applications or systems for reporting and tracking
