A PGT English teacher, or Post Graduate Teacher of English, is responsible for teaching English language to students in grades 9–12. Their responsibilities include:
Lesson plans: Creating engaging lesson plans that are appropriate for the students' abilities and the syllabus
Teaching styles: Using different teaching styles to efficiently deliver lessons, depending on the content
Student progress: Assessing and recording student progress systematically, and identifying areas for improvement
Student behavior: Enforcing regulations for student conduct and discipline, and maintaining appropriate standards for behavior in the classroom and school
Communication: Communicating with students, parents, and colleagues
School systems: Implementing school systems and policies
