Key Responsibilities:
Design & Development
Conceptualization & Design Support:
Assist the Senior Designer in developing design concepts for kitchens, wardrobes, and
modular furniture, balancing functionality, aesthetics, and client preferences.
Translate client briefs into practical, visually compelling design ideas under supervision.
Create initial drafts and prototypes; assist in preparing 2D and 3D drawings, 3D renders
to visualize the final product for clients, preparing and maintaining technical
documentation, preparing production designs by utilizing design software and techniques.
Material & Finish Selection
Research and recommend suitable materials, finishes, fittings, and hardware for furniture
construction, in alignment with brand standards.
Assist in preparing mood boards and finish palettes for client approval.
Help maintain an organized sample library of current materials and finishes.
Prototyping & Detailing
Support in the development and refinement of design prototypes to test fit, finish, and
functionality.
Work with the production and factory teams to understand feasibility and suggest design
adjustments as needed.
Cost Awareness & Material Planning
Coordinate with the factory or procurement team to understand cost considerations and
material availability.
Provide inputs for material estimation and assist in preparing BOQs, cutting lists &
Production details under guidance of senior designer.
Design Standards & Documentation
Maintain and update standard design templates, detail drawings, and material
specifications.
Ensure that all design documentation is clear, organized, and compliant with Aarush’s
design protocols.
Collaboration & Communication
Client Interaction:
Participate in client meetings alongside senior designers to understand design briefs,
preferences, functionality requirements, and budget considerations.
Support in presenting preliminary design concepts, layouts, and material selections in a
clear and professional manner.
Incorporate client feedback into updated drawings and documentation, ensuring
alignment with expectations and project timelines.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with senior designers, the production team, and other departments to ensure
that proposed designs are technically feasible and aligned with factory capabilities.
Maintain clear and proactive communication with internal teams to coordinate design
revisions, material choices, and site-specific requirements.
Design Presentation & Documentation:
Assist in preparing design presentations, material palettes, and visuals for internal
reviews and client approvals.
Ensure all design-related documents, drawings, and notes are kept organized and updated
throughout the project lifecycle.
Documentation & Technical Support
Design Documentation:
Maintain well-organized records of all design-related data, including drawings,
specifications, material samples, and project details.
Ensure documentation is regularly updated to reflect design revisions and approvals
throughout the project lifecycle.
Drawing Revisions & Detailing:
Revise 2D and 3D drawings based on feedback from clients, senior designers, production
teams, or site inputs.
Prepare detailed working drawings, elevations, sections, and joinery details required for
production and on-site execution.
Ensure accuracy, clarity, and compliance with Aarush’s modular furniture standards.
BOQ & Material Coordination:
Assist in preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQs), hardware lists, and material specifications
based on finalized designs.
Coordinate with the factory and procurement teams to align on material availability,
technical requirements, and production feasibility.
Design Research & Improvement
Stay updated with current trends, finishes, fittings, and technologies relevant to modular
kitchens and furniture.
Contribute insights on innovative materials and practical design enhancements to
improve product quality and client satisfaction.
Site Support & Additional Responsibilities
Site Visits & Measurements:
Assist in taking accurate site measurements and verifying on-site dimensions against
proposed layouts.
Visit project sites as required to validate designs, assess site conditions, and support the
installation team in ensuring design accuracy and compliance.
Design Compliance & Installation Support:
Provide on-site support during the installation phase to ensure that execution aligns with
approved designs and technical drawings.
Coordinate with project managers, installers, and factory personnel to address designrelated queries and adjustments during implementation.
Quality & Safety Assurance:
Ensure that all design solutions adhere to ergonomic principles, functional requirements,
and safety standards.
Flag any discrepancies or quality concerns observed during site execution and assist in
resolving them promptly.
Problem-Solving & Adaptation:
Proactively identify design or coordination issues that may arise during the design,
production, or installation stages.
Propose practical design modifications or solutions in collaboration with the senior team
to ensure smooth project execution.
