Accessibility Specialist - Job Description

Overview

We are seeking an Accessibility Specialist to ensure our digital products and services meet the highest standards of inclusivity and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Accessibility audits: Conduct WCAG and ADA compliance reviews of websites, apps, and documents.

Inclusive design: Collaborate with designers and developers to embed accessibility into the product lifecycle.

Assistive technology testing: Validate compatibility with screen readers, voice recognition, and other tools.

Training and advocacy: Educate teams on accessibility best practices.

Documentation: Maintain accessibility guidelines and contribute to policy development.

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of WCAG , Section 508, and ADA standards.

Experience with tools like Axe, WAVE, or NVDA.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Passion for inclusive design and user advocacy.

Preferred Background

Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or related field.

Prior experience in accessibility consulting or digital product design.
