- Assist in preparing the operating room for surgical procedures: The OT technician is responsible for setting up and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the operating room before surgeries to ensure a sterile environment for the procedure.
- Prepare surgical equipment and instruments: The OT technician is in charge of ensuring all necessary surgical instruments and equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, and ready for use during surgeries.
- Assist the surgical team during procedures: The OT technician assists surgeons, nurses, and other staff during surgical procedures by passing instruments, monitoring vital signs, and providing support as needed.
- Monitor patient vital signs: The OT technician is responsible for monitoring patients' vital signs during surgery, ensuring they remain stable throughout the procedure.
- Maintain inventory of surgical supplies: The OT technician keeps track of and restocks surgical supplies, ensuring that the operating room is always well-stocked and prepared for procedures.
Skills and Expectations:
- A valid MD or Medicine Doctor degree is required.
- Strong knowledge and experience in areas such as OT, Intensivist, Anaesthesiology, Anaesthesia, Critical Care, and Anaesthetist.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other medical staff.
- Ability to follow strict protocols and maintain a sterile surgical environment.
