- key responsibilities:

1. conduct comprehensive eye exams: perform thorough eye examinations to assess vision and overall eye health.

2. prescribe corrective lenses: determine the appropriate prescription for eyeglasses or contact lenses based on exam findings.

3. diagnose and treat eye conditions: identify and manage various eye conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration.

4. provide patient education: communicate findings and treatment plans to patients, offering guidance on eye care and maintenance.

5. collaborate with other healthcare professionals: coordinate care with ophthalmologists, opticians, and other specialists as needed.

- required skills and expectations:

1. bachelor's degree or post-graduate diploma in optometry or related field.

2. valid certification or licensure as an optometrist or eye specialist.

3. 3-8 years of experience in a similar role, demonstrating proficiency in conducting eye exams and treating eye conditions.

4. strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and colleagues.
