- Key responsibilities:

1. Conduct comprehensive eye exams: Perform thorough eye examinations to assess vision and overall eye health.

2. Prescribe corrective lenses: Determine the appropriate prescription for eyeglasses or contact lenses based on exam findings.

3. Diagnose and treat eye conditions: Identify and manage various eye conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration.

4. Provide patient education: Communicate findings and treatment plans to patients, offering guidance on eye care and maintenance.

5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals: Coordinate care with ophthalmologists, opticians, and other specialists as needed.

- Required skills and expectations:

1. Bachelor's degree or post-graduate diploma in Optometry or related field.

2. Valid certification or licensure as an Optometrist or Eye Specialist.

3. 3-8 years of experience in a similar role, demonstrating proficiency in conducting eye exams and treating eye conditions.

4. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and colleagues.

5. Detail-oriented approach to accurately diagnose and manage eye conditions.

6. Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
