We are looking for a dedicated Optometrist to join our team in Singapore. In this role, you will play a crucial part in helping patients maintain good vision and eye health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Eye Examinations: Perform comprehensive eye tests to assess vision and detect eye conditions, ensuring that patients receive a thorough evaluation of their eye health.
- Prescribe Corrective Lenses: Based on eye examinations, recommend and prescribe glasses or contact lenses that best suit the visual needs of the patients.
- Diagnose Ophthalmic Conditions: Identify vision-related issues such as refractive errors, ocular diseases, and disorders, providing appropriate referrals for further treatment if necessary.
- Educate Patients: Offer guidance on proper eye care practices, including the use of contact lenses, eye protection, and the importance of regular eye check-ups.
- Maintain Patient Records: Document patient histories, examination findings, and treatment plans accurately to ensure continuity of care and compliance with regulations.
- Stay Updated: Continuously enhance your knowledge about new eye care technology, treatment methods, and industry standards to provide the best care for patients.
To excel in this position, you should have a diploma in optometry and ideally 0-6 years of experience in the field. Strong communication skills are essential, as you'll be interacting with diverse patients. You should also have good attention to detail and a passion for helping others improve their vision and overall eye health.
