Read and accurately interpret prescriptions from optometrists and ophthalmologists.

Take precise measurements such as PD, segment height, and optical center.

Cut, edge, shape, and mount lenses into different types of frames.

Operate optical equipment such as lensometer, digital edger, and lens fitting tools.

Check lens power and verify the accuracy of finished spectacles.

Adjust frames to provide a comfortable and proper fit.

Repair spectacles, replace screws, nose pads, and other small components.

Assist customers in selecting suitable frames and lenses according to their prescription and requirements.

Handle single-vision, bifocal, progressive, and other lens types.

Perform final quality checks before delivering eyewear to customers.

Maintain records of prescriptions, measurements, and eyewear specifications.

Maintain and clean optical equipment and report technical problems.

Monitor stock of lenses, frames, and optical accessories.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe optical shop/laboratory.
