responsibilities:
provide comprehensive nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures in the operation theatre.
assist in preparing the operating room, ensuring that it is clean, well-stocked, and equipped with necessary instruments and supplies.
collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a safe and efficient surgical environment.
monitor patients' vital signs, anesthesia administration, and post-operative recovery.
administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including pre-operative and post-operative assessments.
follow sterile techniques and infection control measures to prevent the spread of infections.
educate patients and their families about the surgical process, post-operative care, and any necessary lifestyle changes.
communicate effectively with the healthcare team, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other nurses, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
requirements:
hold a valid nursing license and have current registration with a recognized nursing body.
possess a gnm/. degree in nursing.
have a minimum of 6 months relevant nursing experience within the last 18 months.
demonstrate proficiency in english language skills:
ielts: an overall score of at least 7, with at least in the writing section, and at least 7 in each of the reading, listening, and speaking sections.
or
oet: at least a grade c+ in the writing section, and at least grade b in the reading, listening, and speaking sections.
have proven experience in pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative nursing care within a theatre setting.
possess excellent knowledge of surgical procedures, sterile techniques, and infection control measures.
