key responsibilities and duties
1. operations and performance management
system monitoring: continuously monitor the performance of operational systems (., solar farms, power plants, manufacturing machinery) using local and cloud-based monitoring software.
performance analysis: analyze energy output, system parameters, and key performance indicators (kpis) to ensure optimal operation and quickly identify deviations or faults.
reporting: prepare and submit detailed daily, weekly, and monthly reports on plant/equipment performance, o&m activities, and compliance status to internal teams and clients.
optimization: propose and implement technical improvements and productivity studies to enhance system efficiency and reduce operational costs.
2. maintenance and troubleshooting
preventive maintenance (pm): develop, schedule, and execute preventive and predictive maintenance plans and routine inspections (., electrical connections, mechanical components, fluid levels) to prevent system failures.
corrective maintenance (cm) & troubleshooting: rapidly diagnose, analyze, and resolve system faults, equipment breakdowns, and alarms using diagnostic tools, technical manuals, and electrical measuring tools (multimeters, clamp meters).
repairs & replacements: perform on-site repairs, coordinate specialized repairs with vendors, and supervise the replacement and commissioning of faulty components (., inverters, pv modules, switchgears).
installation support: assist the project team during the installation and commissioning of new systems, ensuring a smooth transition to the operations phase.
3. safety, compliance, and coordination
safety & ehs: ensure all o&m activities strictly comply with environmental, health, and safety (ehs) regulations and company protocols. prepare safety documents and method statements.
documentation: maintain meticulous and systematic records of all maintenance activities, service reports, fault histories, and spare parts inventory.
stakeholder liaison: communicate effectively with customers, contractors, vendors, and internal engineering teams to coordinate site access, resolve technical queries, and ensure efficient service delivery.
technical support: provide technical support and hands-on training to customers and junior maintenance staff on equipment operation and troubleshooting techniques.
