tutor / nursing tutor — anm / gnm school
role summary:
serve as full-time teaching faculty for both anm and gnm courses. teach theory and conduct clinical instruction, supervise student practice, maintain records, and support student assessments and development.
key responsibilities:
teach classroom subjects for anm and gnm per the inc syllabus.
conduct practical / skill lab sessions: train students in clinical procedures, midwifery practices, community health.
supervise students during their clinical postings in affiliated health facilities (phcs, district hospitals etc.).
evaluate students: monitor their procedure books, practical logs, midwifery records, and guide performance.
participate in internal and formative assessments; help design and conduct quizzes, exams, practical tests.
mentor students, provide remedial coaching, and support their professional development.
maintain student attendance, performance records, and required documentation as per inc / state-council norms.
contribute to community outreach / public health camps, as required by the school (especially for anm training).
minimum qualifications & experience:
as per delhi nursing council for anm schools: . nursing or diploma in nursing education & administration / public health nursing with 2 years clinical experience. delhi nursing council
as per inc guideline for gnm schools: m. nursing or b. nursing (basic / post-basic) or diploma in nursing education & administration with 2 years professional experience. studocu
registered nurse (with state nursing council / inc).
desirable qualifications / skills:
experience in community health nursing, maternal & child health, or midwifery.
training in sba (skilled birth attendance), family planning, newborn / child health. (especially relevant given nhm’s role.) national health mission
good interpersonal and communication skills, ability to mentor and guide students.
research / academic / education quality expectations:
function not just as a teacher, but also as a mentor for student projects — tutors should support students in small-scale applied projects (case studies, community assessments).
contribute to program monitoring & evaluation: help collect and analyze data related to student performance or field training.
engage in continuous capacity building: attend refresher trainings, contribute to quality-improvement initiatives, and adopt evidence-based teaching practices.
