• Review imaging requests and verify patient identity before examinations.

• Explain MRI procedures and address patients’ concerns.

• Screen patients for pacemakers, implants, metal objects, pregnancy, allergies and other contraindications.

• Prepare and position patients accurately for MRI examinations.

• Select appropriate imaging protocols based on clinical requirements.

• Operate MRI scanners, coils and related imaging equipment.

• Produce clear diagnostic images while minimising movement and artefacts.

• Monitor patients throughout the scan using visual and audio systems.

• Follow strict MRI-zone access and magnetic-field safety procedures.

• Assist with contrast-agent administration under authorised clinical supervision.

• Observe patients for adverse reactions and respond according to emergency protocols.

• Maintain accurate patient, examination and contrast-administration records.

• Transfer images to PACS and ensure correct labelling and documentation.

• Perform routine quality-control tests and report equipment faults.

• Clean and disinfect equipment, coils and patient-contact surfaces.

• Coordinate with radiologists, nurses and other healthcare professionals.

• Protect patient privacy, dignity and confidential medical information.

• Follow radiation-department policies, infection-control standards and applicable regulations.
