Hiring MES Engineer For Chennai

Responsible for end-to-end MES implementation, integration, and optimization across manufacturing operations, enabling real-time shop-floor visibility, system connectivity, and process efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Implement, configure, customize, and deploy MES solutions across manufacturing lines

Gather and translate business and shop-floor requirements into MES solutions

Provide L2/L3 support, troubleshooting, and performance optimization

Manage MES upgrades, patches, and system enhancements

Design and implement Industrial IoT solutions for real-time data acquisition

Integrate MES with PLC/SCADA/DCS systems, sensors, and shop-floor equipment

Enable machine connectivity using OPC UA, MQTT, REST APIs

Ensure seamless data flow between OT and IT systems

Collaborate with automation teams on plant automation strategies

Integrate MES with enterprise systems (SAP/Oracle, WMS, QMS, LIMS)

Develop custom MES modules, dashboards, reports, and workflows

Optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability

Support production traceability, yield improvement, and quality processes

Ensure compliance with IT security, data integrity, and validation standards

Required Skills & Qualifications:

BE / with 7-8 years of experience in manufacturing domain (Solar / Semiconductor / Electronics preferred)

Strong expertise in MES platforms (Siemens Opcenter, Rockwell FactoryTalk, Apriso, Wonderware, Camstar)

Hands-on experience in PLC/SCADA integration and Industrial IoT architecture

Good understanding of manufacturing processes (batch/continuous, quality workflows)

Experience in enterprise system integration (SAP/Oracle, WMS, QMS, LIMS)

Proficiency in development technologies (Java, .NET, Python, SQL)

Exposure to solar manufacturing processes (stringing, lamination, EL/IV testing) is an added advantage

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Ability to handle stakeholders and cross-functional coordination
