Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Report Typist to join our healthcare

organization. As a Medical Report Typist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate

and timely transcription of medical reports, ensuring the smooth flow of information between

healthcare professionals and patient records. Your exceptional typing skills, medical

terminology knowledge, and attention to detail will contribute to the overall efficiency of our

medical record-keeping processes.

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in medical transcription

will be a plus.

- Proven experience as a medical transcriptionist or medical report typist.

Proficiency in typing with a high degree of accuracy and speed.

- Excellent knowledge of medical terminology, abbreviations, and acronyms.

Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and word processing

software.

- Strong attention to detail and exceptional proofreading skills.

- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- Strict adherence to patient confidentiality and data protection regulations.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Strong organizational and time management abilities.

Responsibilities:

- Transcribe medical reports: Accurately and efficiently transcribe medical reports,

including physician notes, discharge summaries, operative reports, consultations, and

other medical documentation using appropriate software or word processing tools.

- Review and edit reports: Proofread and review transcribed reports for errors,

grammar, clarity, and consistency. Make necessary edits and corrections to ensure the

accuracy and completeness of the documents.

- Ensure compliance: Adhere to all relevant legal and ethical guidelines, including

patient confidentiality and data protection laws. Maintain the security and privacy of

sensitive patient information.

- Medical terminology knowledge: Demonstrate
