Review patient charts and documents and determine the correct codes.

Ensure proper coding with correct sequence based on the medical records and make sure that all the codes are active for the Date of services.

Escalate for missing or incomplete reports and unsigned records.

Determine the codes as per the coding guidelines and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.

Check the LCD as per the carrier specifications.

Knowledge of handling the PQRS measures.

Follow payer guidelines and identify the reimbursable procedures.

Address all the coding related queries escalated by charge entry and AR team.

Regular feedback to the charge entry team and AR team based on the findings.

Document all the activities in the control log.

Meet productivity and quality standards as set by the department.

Assist with month-end closing activities

Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
