medical coder/sr medical coder surgery speciality (2 to 8 years exp)

should have same day surgery (sds)/ambulatory surgery (asc) experience familiar with 1 to 6 series

key responsibilities:

coding: accurately assign icd-10, cpt, and hcpcs level ii codes to outpatient surgical procedures based on medical records and physician notes.

qualifications:

any graduation preferably life science

certification: certification from a recognized body (., cpc, ccs, or cca) is highly desirable.

experience: previous experience in medical coding, specifically in outpatient or same day surgery coding, is preferred.

skills:

strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and surgical procedures.

proficiency in coding software and electronic health record (ehr) systems.
