Looking For Medical Coder in Overseas

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Coder with strong experience in the Australian Coding System (ICD10AM, ACHI, ACS) to accurately code inpatient and outpatient medical records. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with Australian Coding Standards, maintain high coding accuracy, and support clinical documentation improvement.

Role & responsibilities

1. Clinical Coding

Assign accurate ICD10AM diagnosis codes and ACHI procedure codes to all inpatient and outpatient encounters.

Apply Australian Coding Standards (ACS) consistently across all cases.

Review clinical documentation, discharge summaries, operative notes, pathology, radiology, and progress notes for complete coding.

Ensure coding aligns with DRG (Diagnosis Related Group) classification rules.

2. Documentation Review & Clarification

Identify incomplete, ambiguous, or inconsistent documentation.

Raise clinical queries to physicians for clarification when required.

Collaborate with clinicians to improve documentation quality and coding accuracy.
