Looking For Mechanical Design Draftsman

DUTIES :

• Develop detailed 2D and 3D designs and drawings using SolidWorks, AutoDesk Inventor DraftSight and AutoCAD.

• Collaborate with the sales team to create concept drawings and visual aids for client proposals.

• Prepare detailed fabrication and assembly drawings, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and all related documentation required for mechanical design

• Participate in project review meetings and provide design input to improve manufacturability and e6iciency.

• Help establish and document design standards, templates, and workflows as part of building our internal design department.

• Other engineering and documentation duties as assigned by the ownership.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2 to 5 years of engineering design and research experience in some capacity in a manufacturing environment

• The candidate must have either a 3-year technologist diploma or a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.

• The individual will have working knowledge of mechanical parts, strength of materials and their mechanical properties.

• Proficiency in SolidWorks and Inventor, or comparable 3D design software, with experience in both modeling and generating mechanical drawings.

• Experience with custom machine and automation design.

• Must possess solid written and verbal communication skills.

• Must be able and willing to work in a team environment.

• Must be a self-starter and work with minimal direction.

• Must be willing and able to learn our products and processes.
