Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vehicle & Machinery Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance team in Dharashiv. The Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the inspection, maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of our fleet of vehicles and heavy machinery. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, proven leadership abilities, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to ensuring the reliability and longevity of our assets.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervision & Team Management:
Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of mechanics, technicians, and maintenance staff.
Assign daily tasks, monitor performance, and ensure efficient utilization of manpower.
Conduct regular training and provide guidance to enhance the team's skills and knowledge.
Foster a safe, productive, and collaborative work environment.
Maintenance & Repair Operations:
Plan, schedule, and oversee all preventive maintenance (PM) activities for vehicles (trucks, cars, buses, etc.) and machinery (excavators, loaders, dozers, cranes, generators, plant equipment, etc.).
Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
Ensure timely and effective repair of breakdowns, minimizing downtime.
Approve repair methodologies and ensure adherence to manufacturer specifications and company standards.
Oversee the quality of all maintenance and repair work performed.
Safety & Compliance:
Implement and enforce all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures within the workshop and maintenance areas.
Ensure all team members adhere to safety protocols, use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Conduct safety briefings and address any unsafe practices or conditions promptly.
Ensure compliance with local regulations pertaining to vehicle fitness, pollution control, and industrial safety norms.
Inventory & Resource Management:
Manage the inventory of spare parts, tools, and consumables, ensuring adequate stock levels while optimizing costs.
Coordinate with suppliers for timely procurement of necessary parts and services.
Ensure proper use, maintenance, and calibration of all workshop tools and diagnostic equipment.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs, service histories, and costs for each vehicle/machine.
Prepare regular reports on fleet performance, maintenance costs, downtime, and team productivity for management review.
Analyze data to identify recurring issues and recommend proactive solutions.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay updated with the latest advancements in vehicle and machinery technology, maintenance techniques, and safety standards.
Recommend improvements to maintenance procedures, equipment, and training programs to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
