Looking For Laboratory Chemist

Job Description

We are looking for a qualified and dedicated Lab Chemist to work at our Sewage Treatment Plant (STP). The candidate will be responsible for wastewater sample testing, laboratory analysis, monitoring water quality parameters, and maintaining laboratory records to ensure compliance with applicable standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Collect and test sewage and treated wastewater samples.

- Analyze water quality parameters such as pH, TSS, TDS, BOD, COD, DO, and MLSS.

- Monitor the performance of different STP treatment processes.

- Maintain laboratory registers, test reports, and daily analysis records.

- Handle laboratory instruments, chemicals, and testing equipment safely.

- Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment.

- Follow laboratory safety procedures and chemical handling protocols.

- Coordinate with STP operators and the operations team.

- Report abnormal test results to the concerned supervisor or plant manager.

Eligibility Criteria

- Qualification: . in Chemistry or equivalent relevant qualification.

- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in a wastewater treatment plant, STP, ETP, or water testing laboratory preferred.

- Freshers with relevant qualifications and practical laboratory knowledge may also apply.

- Knowledge of wastewater testing methods and laboratory instruments is desirable.

Required Skills

- Knowledge of BOD, COD, TSS, TDS, pH, DO, and MLSS testing.

- Basic computer knowledge and report preparation.

- Good observation, analytical, and record-keeping skills.

- Ability to follow laboratory safety procedures.
