key responsibilities
1. design and documentation
drafting and drawing: prepare and revise detailed architectural drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details using cad (computer-aided design) and bim (building information modeling) software.
3d modeling & visualization: create 3d models and renderings to assist in design presentations and client visualization.
design support: assist senior staff in developing design concepts, conducting research on materials, building systems, and product specifications.
construction documents: help in assembling comprehensive sets of construction documents and specifications for permitting and bidding.
2. project coordination
code compliance: research and ensure all designs comply with relevant local, state, and national building codes, zoning regulations, and other statutory requirements.
inter-disciplinary coordination: collaborate with engineers (structural, mechanical, electrical), interior designers, and other consultants to integrate systems into the overall architectural design.
site visits: conduct periodic site visits to observe construction progress, take field measurements, document existing conditions, and ensure the work aligns with the design specifications.
project administration: assist with project correspondence, documentation, and managing project timelines.
3. communication and presentation
client meetings: participate in client and stakeholder meetings, assisting the senior team in presenting design proposals and incorporating feedback.
reporting: prepare reports, project proposals, and technical summaries as required.
