Key Responsibilities
1. Design and Documentation
Drafting and Drawing: Prepare and revise detailed architectural drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and BIM (Building Information Modeling) software.
3D Modeling & Visualization: Create 3D models and renderings to assist in design presentations and client visualization.
Design Support: Assist senior staff in developing design concepts, conducting research on materials, building systems, and product specifications.
Construction Documents: Help in assembling comprehensive sets of construction documents and specifications for permitting and bidding.
2. Project Coordination
Code Compliance: Research and ensure all designs comply with relevant local, state, and national building codes, zoning regulations, and other statutory requirements.
Inter-Disciplinary Coordination: Collaborate with engineers (structural, mechanical, electrical), interior designers, and other consultants to integrate systems into the overall architectural design.
Site Visits: Conduct periodic site visits to observe construction progress, take field measurements, document existing conditions, and ensure the work aligns with the design specifications.
Project Administration: Assist with project correspondence, documentation, and managing project timelines.
3. Communication and Presentation
Client Meetings: Participate in client and stakeholder meetings, assisting the senior team in presenting design proposals and incorporating feedback.
Reporting: Prepare reports, project proposals, and technical summaries as required.
