We are looking for an experienced Intensivist to join our healthcare team in Kenya. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in critical care and will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to patients in an intensive care unit (ICU).
**Key Responsibilities:**
- **Patient Assessment:** Evaluate patients' medical conditions upon admission to the ICU, including reviewing medical history and conducting physical exams to identify immediate needs.
- **Care Planning:** Develop and implement individualized care plans for critically ill patients, ensuring that treatments are tailored to their specific conditions.
- **Monitoring Patients:** Continuously monitor patients' vital signs and symptoms, making real-time adjustments to treatment protocols as necessary for optimal outcomes.
- **Collaboration with Other Health Professionals:** Work closely with nurses, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare team members to coordinate and enhance patient care in the ICU.
- **Family Communication:** Inform and update patients' families about treatment plans, progress, and any changes in the patient's condition, providing emotional support as needed.
- **Teaching and Training:** Mentor junior medical staff and participate in training programs to support the development of critical care knowledge and skills among team members.
Candidates should possess a valid MBBS degree and have at least seven years of experience in intensive care. Strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure are essential. Candidates should also be dedicated to providing empathetic patient care and fostering teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
