Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide specialized nursing care: Administer medications, monitor vital signs, change dressings, and provide wound care as prescribed by the physician.
2. Assist with daily living activities: Help with bathing, grooming, feeding, and mobility for the patient.
3. Monitor and report changes in patient's condition: Regularly assess the patient's health status and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
4. Provide emotional support: Offer companionship and emotional support to the patient and their family members.
5. Maintain accurate medical records: Document all care provided, medications administered, and any significant changes in the patient's condition.
Required Skills and Expectations:
1. Diploma in nursing: Must have completed a nursing diploma program from an accredited institution.
2. 3-5 years of nursing experience: Prior experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in home care, is required.
3. Strong communication skills: Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
4. Compassionate and caring attitude: Show empathy and understanding towards patients and their families.
5. Ability to work independently: Must be able to work autonomously in a home setting, following care plans and medical instructions accurately.
