Key Responsibilities
Precision Mechanical Assembly: Assemble structural components, gearboxes, hydraulic/pneumatic circuits, and specialized machinery units exactly according to advanced engineering blueprints and schematics.
Alignment & Calibration: Align shafts, bearings, couplings, and industrial motors using high-precision alignment tools (including dial indicators, laser aligners, and feeler gauges) to eliminate vibrations and wear.
Precision Scraping & Fitting: Execute manual scraping, lapping, and filing operations to achieve highly accurate mating surfaces and correct clearances between heavy machine parts.
Blueprint & GD&T Interpretation: Read and flawlessly execute instructions from complex structural blueprints, hydraulic circuit diagrams, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) sheets.
Quality Testing & Troubleshooting: Perform thorough dry-run testing and troubleshooting of newly assembled machinery. Diagnose geometric inaccuracies, structural friction, or hydraulic pressure drops, and rectify defects independently.
Tool Handling & Machining: Safely operate conventional workshop machines (lathes, drilling machines, pedestal grinders) to modify or manufacture small custom fitting components or keys on short notice.
Safety & Preventative Maintenance: Adhere to all industrial safety standards, execute machine-level preventative maintenance check sheets, and ensure the workspace follows strict 5S organization rules.
