HBM Operator (Horizontal Boring Machine)

We are looking for a skilled HBM Operator to set up and operate Horizontal Boring Machines for machining large and heavy engineering components. The candidate should have experience in CNC machining, programming knowledge, and the ability to read engineering drawings while maintaining quality and production standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate HBM (Horizontal Boring Machines) for machining operations

• Perform machine setting, tool setting, and fixture loading

• Read and interpret engineering drawings and machining requirements

• Monitor machining operations and maintain production targets

• Conduct dimensional inspection using precision measuring instruments

• Ensure quality standards during machining of large components

• Maintain machine cleanliness and follow 5S practices on the shop floor

• Maintain production records and follow safety guidelines

Skills Required

• Strong knowledge of HBM machine operations and setup

• Understanding of CNC programming (Fanuc / Siemens preferred)

• Knowledge of large component machining

• Good understanding of machining parameters for steel and cast iron

• Ability to read engineering drawings and process sheets

• Experience in handling precision measuring instruments (Micrometer, Vernier Caliper, Dial Gauge, Bore Gauge)

• Knowledge of machining processes and tooling
