Assistant Professor General Surgery (1-5 Years)

We are looking for a dedicated General Surgery Professor to contribute to our academic team in Gangtok. The ideal candidate will have experience in teaching and a strong background in surgery.

Key Responsibilities:

- Teach Students: Deliver engaging lectures and hands-on training in general surgery to undergraduate and postgraduate students, ensuring they understand both theory and practical applications.

- Curriculum Development: Help design and improve the curriculum for surgery courses, ensuring that it meets current medical standards and incorporates the latest advancements in the field.

- Conduct Research: Participate in research projects that advance the field of surgery, publish findings in reputable journals, and contribute to the academic community’s knowledge base.

- Mentor Students: Provide guidance and support to students during their clinical rotations and research projects, fostering their professional development in surgery.

- Collaborate with Faculty: Work closely with other faculty members to create a cohesive learning environment and promote interdisciplinary collaboration within the medical school.

Required Skills and Expectations:

Candidates should hold a Master's degree in a relevant field and possess between 1 to 5 years of teaching experience. Strong knowledge of general surgery techniques and principles is essential. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary to convey complex information effectively. The ability to work well in a team and a passion for educating the next generation of healthcare professionals are also important.
