the work is on supporting an analytical data platform built on ibm infosphere streams.

70% ongoing multiple applications support, investigate production issues related to data or/and platform issues, do production deployments implement workarounds, and participate in developing new features 20-30% of the time.

engage and actively participate in production events, monitor system health and alerts, and proactively identify and resolve issues.

 

skill  requirements:

high proficiency in scripting, such as shell/perl/awk, etc…

strong understanding of enterprise applications troubleshooting, including data, performance, and network-related issues

experience with distributed enterprise processing systems

strong knowledge and 3+ years of experience in unix/linux-based systems troubleshooting

experience with microservices architecture, kubernetes.

development/support experience with c++/java enterprise applications

passionate about engaging with new technologies.

at least 3+ years of proven experience in software development and support

strong communication skills

ability to work in a stressful environment

ability to support flexible hours

 

good to have:

work experience with redis and cassandra

ibm infosphere stream's previous experience

knowledge or experience working with one of the public cloud providers ( azure, aws).

azure devops (2-3 roles)

azure devops with elk expertise – elk is must have

other skills - terraform, ansible, azure services, log analytics, kubernetes, azure devops, docker, to standardize deployments and automate ci/cd pipelines

azure certification, databricks certification for solution architect and engineering

experience in working with knowledge-based graphs
