job description: finance executive
location: chennai
the person will take on the responsibility for all accounting & finance related tasks at the office.
he/she will collaborate and work alongside our existing employees and volunteers in completing the assigned tasks.
primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• handle end to end books of accounts including data entry into quickbooks / zoho books
• accounts payable - manage daily & periodic payments including statutory payments
• accounts receivable – preparing invoices and receivables, issue receipts for all donations
• provide support in preparing monthly statement of accounts
• provide support for year-end statutory audit and income tax filing
• coordination with auditor / external partners for statutory filings tds, gst, epf, esi, professional tax, roc etc.
• exposure in preparing donor reporting & fund utilization certificate
• manage periodic statutory & legal compliances like fcra.
• provide support in preparing donor reports & handling donor audits
education qualification / experience:
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience
• graduate in / or any equivalent accounting degree
• hands-on experience in quickbooks / zoho books or equivalent
• prior experience with ngo -trust / society accounting would be an preferred.
knowledge, skills and abilities:
• good interpersonal and communication skills
• good working knowledge in ms office packages including excel
• resourceful, responsible, and self-starting
• ability to manage data efficiently.
