We are looking to hire a Fashion Designer with panache and flair to capture the mood on the street in our ready-to-wear line. The Fashion Designer will keep an eye on the street, travel to shows and read fashion magazines to spot trends and interpret specific color palettes, patterns and prints for each season. You will sketch your designs by hand, create technical production drawings and address buyers as a seasoned marketer.
Role & Responsibilities:
• Meeting with producers and directors to ideate and define wardrobe requirements.
• Conducting research on time periods, character profiles, materials, and translation styles.
• Preparing initial sketches, costume research, and wardrobe concepts for presentation.
• Presenting final costume designs, costume plots, and samples for feedback.
• Implementing modifications to the wardrobe for final approval.
• Coordinating the design, rental, and construction of garments.
• Participating in wardrobe fittings and production dress rehearsals.
• Performing fittings, adjustments, and final touches on set.
• Managing the project timelines, fitting schedules, and budgets.
• Work with costume makers to materialize sketches.
• Hire or buy ready costumes when necessary.
• Supervise fittings and rehearsals.
• Assume responsibility of returning, storing or disposing used costumes after filming.
• You shall create mood boards to represent your ideas to your Department.
• You must remain updated with the latest trends in the fashion industry.
• You shall work with designing teams and oversee the idea from concept to execution.
• You shall regularly visit trade and fashion shows, and select fabrics, ensembles, and accessories to create the perfect look.
