position overview:

as the fabrication manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all fabrication operations, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. you will lead a team of skilled fabricators, implement best practices, and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the fabrication shop.

key responsibilities:

- lead and manage the fabrication team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.

- plan, schedule, and oversee fabrication projects, ensuring timely completion and resource optimization.

- collaborate with engineering and design teams to ensure project specifications are met.

- implement and maintain quality control processes to uphold product standards.

- promote a culture of safety and ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols.

- identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.

- manage project budgets and track expenses to ensure cost-effectiveness.

- communicate regularly with senior management regarding project status and challenges.

qualifications:

- bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field (preferred).

- minimum of 5 years of experience in fabrication or manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.

- strong leadership and team management skills.

- proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.

- familiarity with fabrication tools, machinery, and software (., cad programs).
