Position Overview:

The Fabrication Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for fabrication projects. This role involves analyzing project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to determine the resources, materials, and labor required. The Fabrication Estimator will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure that estimates align with project goals and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

Cost Estimation:

- Review project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to understand project requirements.

- Prepare detailed cost estimates for fabrication projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead costs.

- Utilize estimating software and tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency in the estimation process.

Collaboration:

- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and production teams to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.

- Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing and availability of materials and services.

- Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to assess project conditions and requirements.

Analysis and Reporting:

- Analyze historical data and trends to inform future estimates and improve accuracy.

- Prepare and present estimates to management and clients, providing clear explanations of cost components.

- Maintain detailed records of estimates, including assumptions, calculations, and revisions.
