role description

the xml conversion associate is responsible for converting various document formats (such as word, pdf, or html) into xml while ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with industry standards. this role requires a strong understanding of xml structures, document formatting, and data integrity, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and resolve conversion issues.

create, edit, and validate epub 3 files with a strong emphasis on accessibility

work with xml-based publishing workflows, including dtd/schema validation

implement and test mathml for complex mathematical content across different reading systems.

ensure compatibility with screen readers and other assistive technologies.

collaborate with content creators, designers, and developers to ensure high-quality digital outputs.

troubleshoot rendering and compatibility issues across devices/platforms.

experience with 1 to 5yrs in xml, xslt, xsd, epub and epub accessibility and related technologies.

bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, publishing, or a related field.

strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
