key responsibilities

respond to emergencies: drive and operate emergency vehicles to respond to medical emergencies and transport patients.

provide immediate medical care: assess a patient's condition and provide basic life support and first aid until they reach the hospital. this includes performing cpr, administering oxygen, and applying bandages and splints.

stabilise and transport patients: lift, move, and transport patients safely to a medical facility, ensuring their condition is stable during transport.
